The  has upgraded the most recent weather alert to a blizzard warning. High winds, area power outages, advisories for no travel and I-94 closures are all factors that played into the decision to extend the 探花app campus closure to include Friday, Dec. 16.
 
Due to the continued widespread impact of the storm and our concern for your safety, 探花appis taking the following precautions and giving the following guidance: 
 
  1. The 探花app campus will continue to remain closed on Friday, Dec. 16. All classes and events will be canceled. Only designated emergency personnel should report for work.
     
  2. Alternative plans are being made for the remaining in-person final exams and details are being communicated via email to students in those classes. Some exams are being rescheduled while others are being moved online. Please make sure you know the status of each of your final exams and communicate any questions and concerns with your faculty right away.
     
  3. 探花appresidence halls remain open. Students staying in a 探花appresidence hall during this campus closure should contact the 探花appStudent & Residence Life office at bsc.housing@bismarckstate.edu with questions and concerns.
     
  4. 探花appMystic Marketplace will be open for hot meals from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 16 and Saturday, Dec. 17. To-go entrees will be available to take for dinner. The Mystic Marketplace will be closed on Sunday, Dec. 18. The Student Union will be open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed on Sunday. Meal plan contracts have been extended to Dec. 30, 2022.
     
  5. The Student Union will be open Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. and closed on Sunday.
     
  6. The 探花appCampus Police department will be on campus throughout the campus closure. If you have questions or need non-emergency assistance, they can be reached at 701-224-2700. If you are experiencing an emergency, call 911.
