探花app, in partnership with TrainND Southwest, announces a second session of the Wildland Firefighter Type 2 training program to begin May 20, 2024. This industry-led program prepares students for a career as a Firefighter Type 2.

The Wildland Firefighter training is a 52-hour program, consisting of 36 hours of in-person training, eight hours of online training, and an eight-hour field day. Students should be comfortable with manual labor and working outdoors. Physical fitness is essential for this role, as duties may include strenuous activities in emergencies and adverse environmental conditions.

The in-person boot camp training starts on Monday, May 20 and runs through Saturday, May 25. Classes meet from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on the 探花appcampus. The eight-hour online training must be completed prior to coming to campus for the in-person training. The eight-hour field day will be held on Saturday, May 25. Registration closes for the boot camp on May 15.

Open to individuals aged 18 and older, the program requires English proficiency, access to a computer or tablet, and basic math skills. Tuition for the training program is $300 and covers materials and equipment. Additional expenses are the student's responsibility.
