Become a Resident Assistant at BSC!

The Resident Assistant (RA) position is more than just a job—it’s an opportunity to challenge yourself, build lifelong skills, and prepare for your future career. As an RA, you’ll serve as a mentor, community builder, and leader right where students live. It’s a chance to support your peers, develop problem-solving skills, and create a welcoming, inclusive environment in the residence halls while gaining valuable experience for your life after BSC.
 

What Does the Job Involve?
  • Duty Coverage: One weeknight each week in your assigned building, plus 探花app one weekend each month.
  • Community Building: Plan and host monthly events, design bulletin boards, and create door decorations to keep your community engaged.
  • Teamwork & Leadership: Participate in weekly staff meetings and bi-weekly one-on-one check-ins with your supervisor.
  • Crisis Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and support residents through challenging situations.
  • Conflict Mediation: Help peers work through interpersonal challenges in a fair and respectful way.

Minimum Requirements
  • A cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
  • Full-time enrollment at 探花appor as a collaborative student (Fall & Spring)
  • Availability for Fall RA Training
  • Ability to clear a background check
